Volvo recently announced a new XC90 plug in Hybrid model at the Detroit Motor Show. It will be powered by a new Volvo Four cylinder Turbo 276 bhp petrol engine (Which we will more than likely see in other Volvo models in the future) together with a 69 bhp motor powering the rear wheels. Making a total of 345bhp this is likely to be the most powerful of Volvo's line up of vehicles with a 0-60 time in under 6 sec's. It will also offer 100mpg fuel economy with a low 53g/km of CO2 emissions and a range of 28 miles on electric power and a combined 600 miles per tank of fuel.
